While this surely didn’t look like a stacked group it had some very interesting matches never the less. Teams in this group:
While PGS was the main favorite to win the group Virtus Pro also played extremely well and even if they lost the match against the polish powerhouse I dare to say that they look like one of the favorites to win the competition. VPs really played well against the other teams, they didn’t do much mistakes, their teamwork was really good and the new addition - Ioann "Edward" Sukhorev has impressed thousands with his stunning reflexes and great aim. Everyone knew that it would come down to the three teams who will be battling for the spot in the upper groups. Virtus Pro, x6tence and pgs finished in the top as expected. As for the other two teams Vatos Locos and Lansports you can’t really blame them for not going through. They tried their best but that just wasn’t enough. The top teams in Europe didn’t give the newcomers a chance. The decisive match between x6 and pgs didn’t look very entertaining. It looked like x6 wouldn’t even stand a chance against pgs as they were crushed 1-14 in the first half. The match score was 25-5 in favour of pgs who along with Virtus Pro will pass to the next stage. |
